Welcome to MJB 2001
During the first few weeks of the year the buzz begins. When is the MJB? How can we help? It
touches us deeply that so many want to join this celebration of our daughter Meghan's life. We are
very grateful!
The Women's Handicap Champion was Kelly Syferd, Scratch champion was Ernie Blankenship, and
Bob Davis won Men's Handicap. The Scratch champion gets the opportunity to dance around in a
tight lime green jacket singing, "Fat man in a little coat." The Men's and Women's handicap champions
get to pour their beverage into the champion's mug - their drink of choice never tasted as good.

The History of the "Green" Jacket
This year, an important tradition is passed on. The Bill & Ted's Excellent Golf Outing
(B&TEGO) has disbanded due to geographical strain (Bill & Ted both moved away from
Columbus). The most coveted symbol of the B&TEGO, the Green Jacket, is now
bequeathed to the MJB. For those of you not familiar with the B&TEGO, this is how our
prize stacks up to that "other" green jacket:
Masters B&TEGO
Jacket color: A rich Kelly green A fluorescent lime green
Jacket size: Tailored to the champion One-size-fits-no one
Jacket condition: Immaculately cleaned and pressed Smell of beer and some unidentified stains
Symbol of: Determination & championship golf Being less bad than the other losers in the event
A prize to be: Cherished for a lifetime Hidden in the back of the closet until next year
As we attempt to keep Jeff Sass (2x B&TEGO defending champion) from walking around
a third time saying, "Fat man in a little coat," please remember the heritage and history of
the prize we are battling for.
Yours in bad golf, Bill McKendry
